Hi I am Dave Rottkamp a lakefront specialist in the pocono mountains of PA.

This is my first blog, and I want to talk a little bit about the current state of the real estate market. Most people when they think of the real estate market do not realize that markets vary greatly by geographic location. So when I speak of the market I am talking about the Pocono's of PA, and more specifically the lakefront/lakeview vacation homes in that area.

Most people who are trying to call a bottom in the real estate market will miss that mark and end up buying on the way up instead. Our market has been down for (4) years at this point, one year longer than most corrections. The outlook for this
year is very good. The mortgage industry is starting to repair itself, and vacation home prices are very low. Interest rates are also still low, the point is this is a GREAT time to buy. Watch as the year goes on, the call on interest rates is to go up, so do not miss an opportunity to buy well.
